Events and Festivals

Celebrating events and festivals in the school play an important role in expanding the students’ range of experience in terms of society, culture and traditions, and developing in them a strong sense of community and solidarity with others.

Environment Day:

On every 5th of June World Environment Day is celebrated. The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of  Mother Earth and the need to protect it. on this day saplings are distributed  to students and staff by the principal and planted around the school premises with a slogan "let us make our planet a better place. stop polluting" 

Investiture Ceremony:

The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen

Independence Day:

On Independence Day, 15th August, the school starts the day with a hoisting of the flag by the dignitary of the day. The function proceeds with stage programmes where the chief guest addresses the children with an Independence Day message and students present inspiring and patriotic songs, dances, and skits.

Sports Day:

The much awited Annual Sports Day - The 'Track'  was conducted with great zeal and excitment under the leadreship of sports master. The main idea of a sports day in school is to encourage children to have fun, to get active and to work together in various fun physical activities and challenges.

CCS Kalotsav:

As well as being invaluable and enjoyable in its own right, participation in cultural activities, also gives young people the chance to develop important life skills such as creativity, confidence, self discipline, effective communication and the ability to work in teams.

Kannada Rajyotsava:

The day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Karnataka as the state was formed on this day. Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in CCS with gusto, joy, and vigour on November Ist every year, by the students.

Christmas Day

The season of Christmas a time when bright stars hang from the ceiling, a Christmas tree stands tall with sparkling lights and a Christmas Crib that highlights the birth of Jesus. 

On the day when the school celebrates Christmas, students from different classes present lively programs such as Christmas dances, Christmas carols, and skits that bring out the message of peace, love and joy. Students dressed up as Joseph, Mary, with a “baby Jesus” in her arms, with pretty angels, carolers, and Santa Claus, visit the students in the classrooms as they share sweet dishes such as cakes and candies. Santa graces the students’ party with the cutting of the Christmas cake. 

 

Teachers’ Day:

Teachers’ Day celebrated on 5th September is one event that warms the teachers’ heart and renews their spirit in the teaching profession. Students show their appreciation towards their teachers with loving cards and flowers. They also sing and dance their hearts out on stage, offering their teachers the best of what they have. For the school staff, it is truly a day to remember. 

Children’s day:

14th November is Children’s day. On this day, children get the chance to sit back in the auditorium and enjoy the performances of their teachers on stage. Teachers dance, sing and act much to the children’s delight. To culminate the occasion, ice cream is served or other sweets that the children truly enjoy.

Annual Day:

The Annual Day is the summit of all the activities of the year. It is the grandest show that the school organises, for it flaunts the crème de la crème. It presents the best students with excellent performance both in curricular and co-curricular activities. They are honoured by the school on this day, rightly recognized and lovingly appreciated by their family and friends. 

On this occasion, the school community becomes a family with a loving bond that links everyone together. It is a time to cherish human connections, relationships with students, teachers, parents and well-wishers.
